Dr Parker completed his secondary education at Peckham Manor School in southeast London. Lennie graduated as a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry whilst at Kingston University. He then went onto successfully complete his PhD in chemistry at London South Bank University. Lennie qualified as a teacher prior to teaching at a further education college in London and a brief lecturing spell at Middlesex University. He is currently Head of Science Department in a private school.
Lennie is currently a member of professional societies, which includes both Institute of Biology and Royal Society of Chemistry. The status in which he belongs to these societies is at Chartered level.
